With Fr Gilbert leaving the ACFC Chaplain post as the parish priest of Waiuku, Fr Mario was been appointed by the Bishop to be the new ACFC (Filipino) Chaplain. He is also the official parish priest of St Dominic's in Blockhouse Bay.
He celebrated his first mass as chaplain on the 2nd February 2020 (Sunday), on the feast of our Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple. He also blessed candles that were given to families who have attended the Mass. We are happy to have him as our chaplain, and let us pray and help him on this mission to support and shepherd all Filipino Catholics in the Diocese of Auckland.
