The Finance Chairperson

One of the faces you will never miss in the church entrance is Rey. He welcomes everyone with a smile and behind that smile, he serves as the finance person of the Chaplaincy. He has been mistaken for a Filipino priest, maybe due to the close resemblance to Fr Mario. Cooking and DIY are few of his hobbies, and other hobbies will depend on the seasons of the year. He is the good husband of Susan and father of Adriene. The family are all long-time servants of ACFC. Recently, he was chosen to be part of the newly formed ACFC leadership team. He believes it was God’s calling to serve him and the community in return for the abundant blessings gifted to the family."

Carpentry has been my passion even since I was child & eventually became my chosen career. Being a carpenter has brought me to other parts of the world, eventually arriving in New Zealand in July 2018. My wife & daughter are still in the Philippines and I look forward to them joining me here in New Zealand. My hobbies include playing basketball, board games especially chess and mobile games. Helping my kababayans and serving the church are in my DNA. I used to be a knight of the altar and volunteered to help keep the carparking order at Good Shepherd Parish church. The church is like my second home and serving the Lord is where I find my inner peace and joy. I'm delighted to be part of the ACFC Leadership team and with God's guidance, I'm sure I will deliver what is accorded to me.

Hello! My name is Nicola, I’m a kiwi-Filipino born here in NZ and I am one of the children’s liturgy teachers for the ACFC. Aside from my science-based career, I’m a amateur food critique who likes to collect houseplants. I will bring fresh ideas to the ACFC and aim to provide support for the youth in the community. My vision for the new ACFC LT is that as a group we work as one to provide our services to the community as we settle into our new parish.

I have been part of the ACFC Community since 2009, as one of may of the knights of the altar, since Fr Ruben Elago’s time as chaplain, while the Chaplaincy was located in Good Shepherd Parish of Balmoral. I moved on since 2017 to be one of the technical coordinator for all online platforms such as the ACFC website and Facebook. In 2020, started to organise the chaplaincy’s livestreaming and recording of Masses. This year, I’ve decided to be part of the leadership team, to provide more opportunities for the youth to volunteer and serve in Worship and Mass Communications. It has been a very blessed journey to serve in the ACFC, being called to serve the Filipino Community here in the Auckland Diocese. I have interests and hobbies in powerlifting, video editing, and really like to be geeky and play with cool tech gear.
