First Reading: Ex 34, 4b-6. 8-9
In those days, Moses went up in the morning to Mount Sinai, carrying in his hand the two stone tablets, as the Lord had commanded him. The Lord descended on a cloud and was present to him. Moses then spoke the name of the Lord, and the Lord, passing before him, proclaimed: "I am the Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, patient, merciful and faithful." At once Moses fell to the ground and worshiped him, saying: “If indeed I have found grace in your eyes, deign to come with us now, even though these people are hard-headed; forgive our iniquities and sins, and take us as your own. "

Because God did not send his Son to condemn the world, but so that the world would be saved by him.Whoever believes in him will not be condemned;but he who does not believe is already condemned, for not having believed in the only Son of God ”.
