Greetings!
We again invite everyone to join the Saint Pedro Calungsod NZ Devotees in commemorating and celebrating the life of the youngest Filipino Saint, Saint Pedro Calungsod NZ. This season of Lent is an opportune time to learn more about the life and works of Saint Pedro, who was martyred at 17. By remembering his life and journey as a young Catholic, may we reflect on our own journey and prepare ourselves for Easter.
Our theme for this year:
"Faithful Companions in the Journey to Attentive listening and Service."
The Novena will begin on March 23 to March 31 for the Novena.
Feast Day will be on April 1, 2023, Saturday 2:00 pm at St. Benedicts Parish of Newton Auckland.
Please note the schedule changes on the poster above.
- Day 2 - March 24, Friday. Novena and Mass will be held at Melville Cricket Pavillion to give way to Fr. Mario Dorado OFM Cap funeral service.
- Day 4 - March 26, Sunday. Rosary will Start at 11:00 am - Novena at 11:15 am - Mass at 11:30 am,
- Day 7 - March 29, Wednesday. We will also join the novena for the Mother of Perpetual Help: 7:00 pm Rosary, 7:15 pm San Pedro Novena, 7:30 Our Mother of Perpetual Help Novena.
- Day 9 - March 31, Friday. Rosary will start at 7:30 pm, Novena at 7:45 pm, and Mass at 8:00 pm.
The usual flow of the novena will start with a Rosary, followed by the daily novena, and Holy Mass. All prayers and masses will be in English.
