COVID-19 Lock down in NZ (COVID-19 Level 4)

Updated: Apr 5, 2020

As of 25th March 2020 at 23:59 (11:59pm), New Zealand is now on COVID-19 Level 4 of the four tiered level government response fight against COVID-19 pandemic. You can find out the summary of the four tiered levels of response to COVID-19 on their website. If you have more questions about the government's response, please click here to view the Frequently Asked Questions section.

Please Note that the government is making all official information about COVID-19 response available through their official Social Media Channels (@uniteagainstcovid19 both Facebook and Instagram), and also on their website (www.covid19.govt.nz). We have also put up other important contacts about the government's response into this pandemic crisis. Please do not hesitate to contact these services for assistance.

Liturgical Celebrations as of the 25th March 2020 23:59 (11:59pm) lock down.

Our Local Bishop, Bishop Patrick Dunn, has released a pastoral letter on 24th March 2020 in response to the government's decision. Below is the photo of that mentioned pastoral letter from our Bishop.

Since gatherings are not allowed at this time, mandated by our bishop and the government. We wanted to ensure that the spiritual needs of our community are being looked after by our local chaplaincy. We have responded and created a page dedicated to online masses celebrated by different priests (https://www.acfc-catholic.org.nz/mass-online). The Bishop will also host his weekly 6pm Saturday Mass at www.aucklandcatholic.org.nz. We will make sure that the Bishop's Video Masses will also be part of the Mass Online page that we have made live since this week.

At this time of great need, we ask you all to pray hard that in God's time for the eradication of COVID-19!

Maraming Salamat po!
