Good day to our brothers and sisters in Christ!
Our ACFC Liturgy Committee would like to inform all our Lay Ministers, Members of different Choir groups, Senior Altar Servers, and Members of the Children’s Liturgy teaching team of the following requirements that we must abide by as we serve in our community:
As members in our respective ministries, we must complete the Code of Conduct and submit it to our Secretary at info@acfc-catholic.org.nz. These documents are available here.
Any Lay Minister or volunteer who is involved with children and vulnerable (for example, leading children and/or youth group(s), or giving communion to the sick) is required to be police-vetted prior to undertaking any outreach work or activities once every three years. These documents are available here and are to be submitted to our Secretary at info@acfc-catholic.org.nz.
We need to attend a Safeguarding Workshop organised by the Catholic Diocese of Auckland at least once within three years. More details on workshop dates can be found here.
For our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors, we have to complete a Liturgy & Ministry Formation Session once every three years in order to be rostered as a Lay Minister in our respective ministries. More information is provided here.
All are encouraged to attend the annual Recommitment Ceremony, which is held on the first Sunday of March every year.
For more information, you can reach out to Liturgy@acfc-catholic.org.nz.
Thanks for your cooperation. God bless us all!
