Compliance Reminders for Church Servers

Good day to our brothers and sisters in Christ!

Our ACFC Liturgy Committee would like to inform all our Lay Ministers, members of the different choir groups, Senior Altar Servers, and members of the Children's Liturgy teaching team of the following requirements that we must abide by as we serve in our community:

Code of Conduct: As members of our respective ministries, we must complete the Code of Conduct and submit it to our Secretary at info@acfc-catholic.org.nz. The forms are available on our Volunteer page.

Police vetting: Any Lay Minister or volunteer who is involved with children and vulnerable people (for example, leading children and/or youth groups, or giving communion to the sick) is required to be police-vetted before undertaking any outreach work or activities, once every three years. The forms are available on our Volunteer page and are to be submitted to our Secretary at info@acfc-catholic.org.nz.

Safeguarding Workshop: We need to attend a Safeguarding Workshop organised by the Catholic Diocese of Auckland at least once every three years. Workshop dates are listed at aucklandcatholic.org.nz/services/safeguarding.

Liturgy & Ministry Formation: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors must complete a Liturgy & Ministry Formation Session once every three years in order to be rostered as a Lay Minister. More information is at aucklandcatholic.org.nz/liturgy-prayer/formation.

Recommitment Ceremony: All are encouraged to attend the annual Recommitment Ceremony, held on the first Sunday of March every year.
